What is Squad Golf™?

Squad Golf™ is a new team-based sport debuting in Mobile, Alabama. It features two teams of eight players competing simultaneously on a custom-designed field.

All 16 players are active at the same time, with up to four additional players per team serving as alternates or substitutes.

What is the objective of the game?

The objective is simple:

👉 Be the first team to score 32 points


How is a point scored?

Each side of the field is divided into four sections called “quads.”

How play works:

👉 The first team to complete the hole in Quad Four wins the point


Do players have to attempt the hole on the first putt?

No. Strategy is a key part of Squad Golf.

Teammates can work together and decide the best approach to complete each hole.


Is there a limit on consecutive attempts?

Yes.

👉 A player may not strike the ball more than three times in a row


How is the field structured?


Can players run?

No running is allowed.

👉 Fast walking is permitted


Are there fouls or penalties?

Yes.

Important:


What happens if a player sinks the hole on the first putt?

Play immediately advances to the next quad.

👉 This gives that team a speed advantage over their opponent


What is a “Quad”?

A Quad occurs when all four lead players complete their holes on the first attempt.

Who created Squad Golf™?

Squad Golf™ was created by Preston Brady III, a native of Mobile, Alabama.

Interestingly, he developed the concept without ever playing traditional golf.
